By installing and using RUCO Call ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please uninstall the app.
1. The Service
RUCO Call is a free Android app that helps you auto-manage incoming calls. It can:
- Auto-reject calls based on the active mode you choose
- Send personalized SMS replies to rejected callers
- Whitelist VIP contacts so their calls always ring through
- Enable Do Not Disturb automatically while a mode is active
- Keep a local history of how calls have been handled
2. Account & Sign-In (Optional)
You can use core RUCO Call features without signing in. If you sign in (via Google or Email/Password through Firebase Authentication), you accept:
- Responsibility for keeping your credentials secure
- That account-related actions taken with your credentials are your responsibility
- Google's Terms of Service (for Google Sign-In)
3. SMS Charges — Important
RUCO Call is 100% free. We never charge you.
However, any SMS sent by RUCO Call uses your mobile carrier's plan and may be billed at your carrier's standard SMS rate, exactly like sending an SMS manually. You are solely responsible for:
- Carrier charges for SMS messages
- Data charges (if applicable in your plan)
- Plan limits or quotas
We strongly recommend checking your carrier plan and using the SMS Cooldown feature to avoid repeat sends.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use RUCO Call only for lawful purposes. You will not:
- Use the app to send spam, harassment, threats, or illegal content via SMS
- Use the app to evade legal or regulatory obligations (e.g., emergency call laws)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Resell, rebrand, or redistribute the app without our written permission
- Bypass safety, security, or rate-limiting features
You are solely responsible for the content of any SMS messages you send (including custom messages) and for any consequences of auto-rejecting calls.
5. Missed Calls Disclaimer
RUCO Call rejects calls when modes are active. This means you may miss important calls, including:
- Emergency calls from people not on your whitelist
- Time-sensitive calls (job interviews, deliveries, medical, etc.)
- Calls from new or unrecognized numbers
You are solely responsible for managing your mode states. We recommend:
- Adding emergency contacts and family to your Whitelist
- Turning off modes when you expect important calls
- Not relying on RUCO Call as a substitute for human judgment
RUCO Call is provided "as is" with no warranty that all important calls will be allowed through or that auto-SMS will always be delivered.
6. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RUCO Call and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Missed calls (business loss, personal loss, emergency situations, etc.)
- SMS delivery failures (carrier issues, network outages, etc.)
- Carrier charges, including high SMS bills
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Data loss from app issues or uninstalls
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the app.
7. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to RUCO Call (or any associated Firebase account) if we reasonably believe:
- You've violated these Terms
- Your use causes harm or risk to other users or third parties
- Required by law or court order
You may stop using RUCO Call at any time by uninstalling it.
8. Privacy
Your use of RUCO Call is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it for details on how data is handled.
9. Updates & Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Karnataka, India, unless local consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
